Hello! Welcome to my website and thank you for your interest in my work! My name is Octavia and I am a licensed 26 year old braider based out of Portland Oregon. I am currently a beauty school student studying hair design, however, I have been braiding professionally for about three years. Please feel free to ask me any questions you have, and I will do my best to answer them for you and ensure that you have the best experience I can provide. Below, a detailed list of policies and answers to my most frequently asked questions. Please let this be a tool for you, as I cannot always get back to client inquiries right away. Thank you in advance for booking with me! 🤍✨ GENERAL POLICIES • Please make sure to send me a photo of your hair along with your name after sending your booking request, I will not approve your request if you are a new client & have not done this. This is done in place of consultation. If you’d like a formal consultation please contact me directly* •Please make the remainder of your payment in cash, Zelle, or by allowing me to charge your card on file. Remaining balance should be payed at the completion of the appointment. •I will not service any kind of box braid extensions for you if your hair is fine textured, or thinning to the point of breakage, or if I think the style would be too much tension for your hair. I will make this decision at my own discretion. *Please send me a photo/video of your hair after you complete your booking request in place of consultation. If you’d like a formal consultation please contact me directly* •I am not taking children younger than 12 at this time. •If your hair is shorter than 4 inches please contact me before booking. As this is the required length •If you recently got a perm/relaxer or your ends are blunt cut please do not book with me for braids unless we have agreed otherwise. If you book and your hair demonstrates any of these instances your appointment will be canceled. 🚨COVID POLICY •Do not bring any guest to your appointment. The salon waiting space is small and for clients who are awaiting their appointment. •If you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19, tested positive, or are exhibiting symptoms within 14 days of your appointment please contact me ASAP and I will work with you to the best of my availability. 🪷 DEPOSIT POLICY 🪷 • NO DEPOSIT = NO APPOINTMENT Your deposit will be collected from your card on file ONLY if your appointment is approved. If your appointment request expires you are not charged. •Please do not send any deposits before we have discussed the details of your appointment if you are a first time client. After you submit your booking request & card info there will be a temporary hold put on the deposit, no deposits are collected until your appointment request is approved. •Deposits are non refundable unless I have to cancel your appointment or unless you cancel within the 7 day window (Deposits can be transferable, please refer to rescheduling section of policies). •The deposit goes toward the overall total of your style. 🪷 APPOINTMENT PREP 🪷 •Please come with your hair washed, dry, detangled & stretched (meaning blow dried and/or sectioned into at least two braids) unless you’ve booked a wash service separately. If your hair is not detangled and stretched (blown out or sectioned and braided/twisted to keep from tangling) your appointment will be canceled and your deposit will not be refunded OR if I have time to do it you will be charged a $20 fee. •Please come with little to no product on your hair and absolutely NO oil on your hair. If you come with oil on your hair and I don’t have time to wash it out your appointment will be canceled. •Please purchase the hair I send to you. If it’s out of stock please call/text me and I’ll send you other options. 🪷 LATE/ CANCELLATION / RESCHEDULING POLICY 🪷 •I understand sometimes things happen out of our control, but If you are going to be late please let me know. There is a grace period but after 15 minutes, you will be charged a late fee.  •You will be charged $20 if you’re 15 mins late and $40 if you are 20 minutes late if I can still take you. After 20 mins if I decide to cancel your appointment your deposit will not be refunded. •Rescheduling/canceling is only allowed if you do so at least 7 days prior to your scheduled appointment or your deposit will not be refunded. •You can reschedule your appointment and still use an existing deposit once. •If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment you will be charged a 50% cancellation fee. •If you no call no show you will not be able to book with me again and your card will be charged 100% of your service fee. •If you would like to book me on my day off and I agree there will be a $100 fee on top of the style you choose. Last minute/Squeeze in fees are $60 on top of the style you book. •PLEASE NOTE— no two artists are the same so please do not come expecting an exact replica of another stylists work. I can try to recreate another stylists work to the best of my ability but it is not guaranteed that your hair will look EXACTLY like another stylists work just because you have a reference photo. Please familiarize yourself with my portfolio before sending any deposits and booking with me.

Cancellation Policy
